Happy Birthday to my blog!

Not to steal any thunder from the holiday (it is the birthday of my country today too!), but my blog is officially a year old now. I started out with this post about making skirts out of old pants (I republished it later, which is why it has a more recent date stamp now.), and just a handful of readers.
